I bet I’ve read 20 articles tonight on "How to be a better blogger." For me, boiled down and distilled to the bare components, these articles ALL promote ’sameness’. Sure, more readers or more MONEY would be nice; but don’t all the sites and blogs look the same now? Where’s the ’individuality’ or uniqueness of everyone following the same steps or using the same headlines and referencing each others content? Yes, my headlines are boring. My content personal. My two little ads my attempt to make some money. But I think my blog is one of the very few out there that chronicles the everyday life we all lead. A hundred years from now all the "How To.." and "You Can.." articles will be forgotten or severely outdated. But I seriously believe that someday, somewhere, sometime a "Blog Historian" will discover my day to day "This Is Really My Life" blog and go "Cool! Did these people really live like that? What’s a DVD?"
And, really, when I stop and think about it, I don’t care if this blog is read by anyone or not. Isn’t THAT strange! I do this because I want to and there really isn’t anyone else I’m trying to make happy with it. Don’t get me wrong; readers are welcomed. But I’m not going out looking for you. I started a blog called Redneck Mormon that I used to comment on the stupid things I read in the news. I was hoping to gather a ’following’ I think, and it was a space to "spout off" (cause I AM a redneck). In 3 years I got 2 (TWO!) comments. Two! Finally figured that either I’m just not being read or I’m just not that interesting. Plus I wasn’t really a regular poster. Glad the blog was free! So Redneck Mormon is about to go the way of the Dodo Bird, RC Cola and Windows 3.1.
And if any one is reading this a hundred years from now: I’m leaving a sample of my DNA and if you’ll clone me and IF I remember anything I’ll be glad to tell you stories of "the olden times"….

I thought. I gave her a 30gig Zune for her Merry-Birthday present and some friends took us out for Mongolian in Gig Harbor. She took the day off from work so she got to do most anything she wanted all day. Cool!
Been checking out my kid’s MySpace sites. Cool. They all seem to be doing well. Wish they’d get back in touch with me.
This damned cold (or whatever) is kicking my butt! Don’t mind the sneezing and sore throat as much as the headache. I’m sick of my head hurting!!! And I’m not sure if it’s the cold, burning wood for heat in the woodstove or sleeping wrong in bed.

The finance guy dropped some paperwork by that the builder needs to fill out. He says that the people he’s talking to about a loan has basically given him first approval. Cool! I’d sure like to at least get the money in the bank! Even if the weather is starting to get really crappy.
Never Give Up. Never Surrender!

I hated to see the end of the Battlestar Galactica series last March; and really hated that it wouldn’t be restarting until Jan 08, but now I see the commercial for the next season and it says it won’t be starting until MARCH 08. You Bastards! Waiting nine months was bad enough but now you put it off until March. You Bastards!
Battlestar Galactica: Razor was most excellent! It was a gas to see the old cylons and their fighters. And Admiral Kane lip locking her own number 6. Cool! I still think this is the best series on TV. Gritty. Realistic. Believable. Cool!
Catching up: Thanksgiving was pretty nice. Our son, Brian, came over for dinner (well, I picked him up and took him home) and my brother-in-law Robert was aboard for awhile. (Don’t get me started!)
Friday noon I took SWMBO for a late breakfast at the Family Pancake House in Port Orchard. It’s always nice being out with her! Then at 1600 I had a Doctor’s appointment to drain this bursitis on my right elbow. He did pretty good. Got about 30 cc of fluid out of the thing. They also did a throat culture for my sore throat (negative) and generally checked me out. I have some form of pharyngitis and should take my antihistamine and keep my mouth shut for awhile. Okay.
Mostly sat around today. Not feeling well. Took my antihistamine and felt rotten all day. Damn, that stuff isn’t supposed to cause drowsiness! Did manage to start up my digger and run it awhile to keep the battery charged and things lubricated. Stocked wood in the house for tonight (supposed to get cold!). Accidently threw a rock through our front window playing with the dog so I have to fix that. Damn! I sure can be klutzy at times. What a dork.

So I got off my ass and (finally!) power washed the walk in front of the house and got all that moss off it. Now maybe I won’t feel like I’m walking on ice when I walk on it. Also picked up that pile of bark that was left over from splitting wood and got it into the back of my truck. Maybe tomorrow me and Poop Dog will take it up to the property and burn it. Made spaghetti for dinner. Yummy!
Was playing with Music Maker last night (and early this am). Made a couple of great sounding loops but having problems with my sound. About half way through it’s like the sound forgets where it is and starts squealing and jumping around. It sucks! If I hit pause when it starts and then play it works okay for the rest of the loop. I’ve tried unloading everything I can and keep Windows running but hat hasn’t helped. Thought it might have been this utility NV puts in their boards to control the ’sound’ of your sound. Like Concert Hall or Live or Rock Band. Stopping that utility REALLY messed up the sound. Even movies couldn’t get decent amplitude. Took forever to get the sound back to normal. I’d hate to think that with 1 Gig of RAM I don’t have enough memory. Hmmm…. Maybe it I defragged the drive?…

This is the telescope I have. Well, it’s not really the telescope I have. It’s a PICTURE of the telescope I have. Wait, that’s not true either. It’s a picture of the model of the telescope I have. It’s really some other telescope that someone took a picture of but it looks like the one I have. The telescope; not the picture. I don’t have a picture of my telescope. Where were we?
